CeeD

The CeeD Board

The CeeD Board is comprised of representatives of our founding partners who give up their time to ensure that CeeD continues to develop in a strong and stable environment, staying true to its original ethos of sharing knowledge and experience to improve business performance.

Ian Dodd, Chairman

During an 8-year tenure with Alfred McAlpine Business Services (AMBS) in Tannochside, Ian served as the Director of Property Services and also looked after a £100 million business in his role as Corporate Services Managing Director. An engineer by training, he spent many years working at BP, including a lengthy stint at BP Norway working offshore as BP's representative on several oil platform construction projects. He has also spent time heading up National Australia's estate including branches, head office and various data centres. Of his non-executive role with CeeD, Ian comments, "I find the role provides me with many opportunities to give something back through helping other businesses to improve their bottom line capability"

Following the purchase of AMBS by Carillion plc, Ian continues to be very active in the field of commercial property, facilities management and business re-engineering and has used his experience and expertise to help several CeeD companies including Datec Technologies, Henry Technologies, James G Carrick Ltd, Reekie Machining, Star Refrigeration and Teknek with their property / facilities issues. And of course as CeeD members, Ian is happy to give (and continue to give) these companies the benefit of his circa 40 years' experience in the field - absolutely free.

Along the way, he has amassed skill sets in lean manufacturing, TPM and Kepner Tregoe and has project managed several key operational moves and equipment installations for NatSemi.
