Training centre
If you have the required access, go to the training library here.
CeeD member companies share one thing in common - they are all operational in nature. As such, training of staff has a big role to play in operational effectiveness and safety. The challenge for managers is to match the operational requirements to the appropriate staff, source the appropriate training, schedule it and then pay for it. Sounds simple enough but very often isn't (courses not available locally, budget squeeze, training can't be scheduled in to suit the needs of the operation etc.)
Developing from the Modern Apprenticeship Passport model, CeeD's Training Centre allows participating member companies to access each other's training material and / or training personnel. Does it seem like an efficient use of available resource to spend £thousands on external training when one of our members runs a similar course in-house and is happy to share that with you?
There have already been several examples of this in practice... Diageo has provided a workshop to British Airways Maintenance Glasgow staff on environmental issues and ISO14001 compliance. Henry Technologies has provided training in refrigeration technology to National Semiconductor personnel. There has been no commercial arrangement between these companies - these are examples of one company helping another to get better at what they do. Eventually, the favour will be returned by the either the recipient companies themselves or (more likely) by another company in the CeeD community - it doesn't matter. We call this 'Pay It Forward' - the 'donor' company should receive a training benefit from another member company in due course. As the number of member companies grows, the demand for training will grow - but so will the range of training available to all.
To identify which of our member companies has the training your company needs, we first of all need to know what is the nature of your company's training requirement(s). As a part of this process, you could also let us know what training courses or specialisms your company can offer to others. To do this, please complete the training pro forma here.
